How To Work Your Skin Up To Everyday Use With Medical-Grade Skin Products
Congratulations on using medical-grade skin products. They are a bit stronger (which is good because you will get superior results). However, I recommend easing into them.
When using your Vitamin C in the morning, start off by using one pump every other day. Please note that some redness or slight tingling is perfectly normal. In fact, it means that blood flow is coming up to the surface and that your skin is showing activity.
Watch for reactivity. Pinkness, some redness, and slight stinging is normal. Rashes, bumps, hives, extreme itchiness, or swelling may indicate a slight allergic reaction. I have never had a client experience this, but it is worth mentioning. Options are to use your product fewer days or just put less product on until the skin becomes acclimated.
Vitamin A Intense (retinol) PM ONLY: Start off using one pump after cleansing (I like to mix the Hyaluronic C Ester in). I would recommend starting off every other night. Watch for anything that may indicate a sensitivity. By the way, many of my clients will have some pinkness and even slight itching for the first 10 days of use, however, this is normal. This means the A is doing what it's supposed to do (turning over skin cells and allowing for new, juicy skin cells to come up to the surface). Always watch your skin for sensitivity. Options include using the product fewer days or using less of the A. Also, you may always mix a bit of your moisturizer into your Vitamin A Intense (Retinol).
In a week or two, your skin should be adjusted, and you will be able to adjust the frequency to every night and use a full pump. You will see a wonderful GLOW to your skin! I use my Vitamin A Intense every night and my Vitamin C Intense every morning, followed by the Hyaluronic E Ester Plumping serum! Wait until you see your skin glow and transform. It's exciting!
